Red Eye Flights

Which do you prefer? Aisle or window? Are you able to sleep on an airplane? Do you usually travel alone? Do you prefer to set in an aisle, but for that red-eye? Have you ever considered pre-assigning a window instead? If you are a sleeper, you can lean your head up against the wall of the plane. Travelling on red-eye flights are certainly uncomfortable, but it's nice to think about these things ahead of time, instead of when you're collecting your aisle seat boarding pass at the gate. Just something to think about.

Businesses are now getting on this "speed-dating" concept......

While many more changes are still necessary for small companies to compete, the SBA is attempting to move things in the right direction. It has launched Business Matchmaking, a kind of speed-dating program for small contractors: Small-business owners and government officials meet in a large room, pair up at tables, and then rotate from table to table every 15 minutes at the ring of a bell. This gives businesses a chance to offer their proposals to several procurement officers at once. The SBA says it is also more closely monitoring its database of small contractors to weed out oversize corporations.

Is your time not worth money?

It just amazes me when I read and hear about people who search and search and search the different internet sights out there, seeking out the "best deal" for an airline ticket or vacation package or cruise. I personally spend alot of time on the internet as well, but if I also was a traveller, I would never get ANYTHING done.

Does it not simply make you crazy, spinning your wheels sometimes? I say, find a travel agent you trust (most of of us who have survived commission cuts are excellent travel agents who love our jobs and take very good care of our clients). I said most, not all. There are still some out there who are just here for the paycheck I'm sorry to say. The travel agent who focuses on her clients needs and takes very good care of them is the one you need to get in touch with. The travel agent who goes the extra mile is the travel agent who succeeds in this business.

So next time, instead of spending many of your waking hours searching to save 50.00, why not just call your friendly travel agent and let her take that stress away from you and book your air, car and hotel all at the same time. Who knows, they might even save you money. You won't know until you give them a try.
